Secondary Grouting Pressure Limit of Shield Tunnels in Loess Strata Based on Bolt Shear Behavior

چکیده

A loess stratum was selected as the research object, assuming that slurry diffuses in a hemispherical shape during secondary grouting. Based on unified strength theory describing failure characteristics of and critical condition bolt shear failure, pressure value grouting strata determined theoretically. The reliability theoretical analysis verified by numerical modeling realizing large deformation formation dynamic injection slurry. 821.80 kPa calculation obtained. Comparing results simulation analysis, it found calculated using equation had safety index 1.14. Bounded βu (the ratio expansion radius RP soil plastic zone to Ru slurry) equal 2.65, water at port is main factor affecting upper limit when less than effective internal friction angle layer greater 2.65. influence matric suction can be ignored.

The Effects of Bolt Spacing on Composite Shear Wall Behavior

Composite steel shear wall is a lateral load resisting system which consists of a steel plate with concrete wall attached to one or both sides to prevent it from elastic buckling. The composite behavior is ensured by utilizing high-strength bolts. This paper investigates the effect of distance between bolts, and for this purpose 14 one-story one-bay specimens with various bolts spacing were mod...

Numerical Investigation of Effect of Rock Bolt Angle on Shear Behavior of Rock Bridges

In this work, the effect of rock bolt angle on the shear behavior of Rock Bridges is investigated using the particle flow code in two dimensions (PFC2D) for three different Rock Bridge lengths. Firstly, the calibration of PF2D is performed to reproduce the gypsum sample. Then the numerical models with the dimensions of 100 mm * 100 mm are prepared. The Rock Bridge is created in the middle of th...

Predicting the Occurrence of Hydraulic Fracture in Grouting Operations Based on the Pressure in the Penetrated Cement Grout

Cement grouting is an operation often carried out to consolidate and seal the rock mass in dam sites and tunnels. The quality and efficiency of a grouting operation depends on various factors such as water take, grout properties and grouting pressure. One of the parameters which have the highest effect is pressure since the application of excessive pressure causes the hydraulic fracture phenome...

Predicting Leakage-induced Settlement of Shield tunnels in Saturated Clay

This paper suggests a new set of analytical solutions for predicting leakage-induced seepage field and ground settlement in saturated clay. A unique feature of the solutions presented is considering the effect of the tunnel lining through the relative permeability between the tunnel and the soil. Through the superposition method, the proposed method can be easily extended to twin parallel tunne...
